All licensed resident producers must meet the following requirements biennially by the end of their birth month:

  • 3 hrs must be in Ethics; 8 hrs must be in each line of authority; remaining 5 hrs may be in any line of authority.
  • No extensions granted.

Complete an online producer renewal application.

  • You may renew by visiting NIPR.
  • Individuals renewing through NIPR must pay a $5 renewal transaction fee in addition to the $25 renewal fee.
  • Update your email address on file.

Obtain Fingerprints (one-time only).

  • Visit our fingerprinting page for instructions on setting an appointment.
  • The fingerprinting fee will be assessed by IdentoGo.
  • All resident producers must be fingerprinted. There are no exemptions available.

Failure to comply with these requirements by the end of your birth month will cause your producer license to lapse.  You cannot continue conducting insurance business with a lapsed license.  Agency or broker licenses will likewise lapse until your producer license is reinstated.

Read the requirements in the event of a lapse status.
