About the Legal Division
The Legal Division is responsible for providing legal advice to the Department. Our legal team represents the Department in state and federal court and before administrative tribunals.
The Investigations Office examines and investigates alleged violations of insurance law in order to protect South Carolina's insured. Based on the results of the investigation, the Department may take administrative action including, but not limited to, fines, license suspension/revocation and restitution.
